Worcestershire: Join our Digital Storytelling Festival in Prospero
C&T and The National Lottery are collaborating to bring young people in Worcestershire the chance to create their own digital stories as part of the ‘Reconnecting Worcester’s Generations’ project. Through the summer months, thirty 11-16 year olds will be able to shape their own interactive stories and then share them as part of a Digital Storytelling Festival.
Families have been valiantly providing home tuition for thousands of children across Worcester over the last three months. The Digital Storytelling Festival offers something different and creative for hard-pressed families to engage with whilst developing skills in English, Drama, ICT and much more.
Prospero, the platform we are using, has amazing creative tools and functions for storytelling. Its a unique mix of narrative, video, media and video game, making in perfect for young people to find their own distinctive ways of telling modern stories. This is the first such event in Prospero and one that C&T hopes could inspire future festivals and events. Its the perfect creative activity in lockdown!
Prompted by our work in Worcester’s Tolladine district this is a fantastic opportunity for residents and young people to tell their stories and come together!
