Digital Marketing and Creative Assistant : Kickstart vacancy

Pablo, our young film maker, on placement with Prospero.

As part of our expansion plans for our innovative Prospero online theatre and learning platform, C&T are looking to recruit a Digital Marketing and Creative Assistant.

This role is supported by the Government’s Kickstart Scheme. It is open to candidates aged 18-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit.

You must be referred to us via your Job Centre Work Coach for this role.

Prospero is changing the ways theatre makers and educators think about and engage with young people digitally. Over 2,200 schools worldwide have signed up to our service, making use of resources to support everything from drama in the classroom, immersive GPS stories in local neighbourhoods, university services and global collaborations linking young people around the world through theatre.

Now we’re getting ready to launch a new, updated version of Prospero, that will take the service to the next level and engage with thousands more schools, children and artists.

To help with this expansion we need a Digital Marketing and Creative Assistant. This is a perfect role to begin a career in the arts and marketing. You will be part of our small creative team, working alongside our directors, our marketing consultant and our global network of theatre practitioners and educators.

Duties will include the creation of a range of marketing materials, including social media, email and video/media production. Some of your time will be spent working independently, at others you will be working in the field: schools, youth centres, theatres and venues.

Writing skills are important, experience with social media an asset, photography or video skills a real bonus. A passion for being creative essential.

We’ll make sure you are well supported: we’ll provide the tech you need to do the job and our new marketing consultant will be on hand to make sure you’re moving in the right direction. C&T are a small team, but that makes us good company to work with. We have a long track record in recruiting young people to important roles: you could be our next recruit. C&T are based in Worcester in the West Midlands, but remote working means you won’t need to be in the office every single day, but you will need to be prepared to motivate yourself if you are working at home.

Remember, this role is supported by the Government’s Kickstart Scheme.  It is only open to candidates aged 18-24 and in receipt of Universal Credit. You must be referred to us via your Job Centre Work Coach for this role. Contact your Job Coach to find out more,. Get them to search for ‘Collar and TIE’ (its a long story).

The post is initially for six months, 25 hours per week, but we want to make this permanent. We’re committed to making a C&T an inclusive and diverse space for all our staff, so regardless of your background we want you to contact us. If you’re having trouble finding us via your coach message us and we will do our best to help.
